What if the Packers actually get a running game to help Aaron Rodgers?

Behind Adrian Peterson, Aaron Rodgers is the best player in the NFL

This just in...Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL, period. He will soon become the highest paid player in the league and it is more than justified by his play. Green Bay has now won two straight division titles and a Super Bowl under the McCarthy/Rodgers era. So unlike the Dallas Cowboys extension of Tony Romo, Rodgers inevitable extension makes a lot of sense. With the NFL draft approaching, it seems the Packers once again have to address the RB position. Getting Cedric Benson was a horrible pickup given his prior injury history so don't expect the Pack to shell out dollars to a free agent RB. The defense needs help at the Safety and Linebacker but RB is still a position that has to be addressed in the draft.

A-Rod has gotten the franchise a Super Bowl and can get the Pack right back in the mix of things this Fall. Aaron passed for over 4,200 yards while completing 67% of his throws. He passed for 39 touchdowns against only 8 interceptions and averaged 250 yards per game in the air. Rodgers has the best play-action fake in the NFL and has even proven to be a running threat when necessary. He was actually the team's SECOND leading rusher behind Alex Green who is clearly not the answer at tailback. Rodgers had a higher yards per carry average, ran for more touchdowns and even more FIRST downs that Alex Green in the 2012 season. Is this guy not one of the most valuable players in the NFL? Give him a legitimate threat at RB and you will see the Packers right back atop the NFC Conference. Check out these stats from ESPN.com and see what I just discussed. Aaron Rodgers will be an NFL MVP candidate for the next 5-6 years at the least.
